Supervisory approach
My supervisory approach is integrative, drawing primarily on humanistic and psychodynamic perspectives, alongside the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet). I offer supervision to trainees, qualified practitioners, and mixed experience supervisees, supporting reflective, ethical, and relational practice.I aim to facilitate an open and collaborative space in which to reflect on client work, clinical experiences, and professional practice in ways that are both creative and supportive. Working integratively allows space to think openly about challenge, resistance, and relational dynamics, including transference and countertransference, and how these shape therapeutic and supervisory processes.I aim to balance relational safety with constructive challenge, welcoming honest reflection, discomfort, and learning. I value transparency, reflexivity, and open dialogue, including attention to difference, rupture, and repair within the supervisory relationship. My work is underpinned by a strong ethical and safeguarding commitment, with explicit attention to risk, responsibility, professional boundaries, organisational contexts, and the BACP Ethical Framework, including its emphasis on justice, power, and care.
